Hi! My name is Morgan Oesterling. I live in Greensburg, IN with my fiancé, Sam, and our two dogs, Ruby and Callie. In my free time aside from work, I love spending time with close friends and family. We enjoy doing things such as taking jeep rides, gardening, watching live bands, spending time at the lake.. basically anything that involves being outside- only when its warm of course. I come from two big families that both originate from Batesville/Oldenburg where I grew up. I like to think of myself as friendly, outgoing and open to new opportunities and trying new things.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is from Oldenburg, IN but I currently live in Greensburg, IN with my fiancé, Sam. He works as a farmer and also recently started a trucking business in the winter of 2021. We are currently in the midst of planning our wedding in August, and after that hope to raise a family in Decatur county.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I currently am a Financial Wellness Specialist for First Financial Bank, where I specialize in providing Financial Education and guidance to different businesses, organizations and individuals in our community. The thing I love most about my job is being able to help people and make a difference in their financial and personal lives. Finances can be scary, overwhelming and intimidating- I love being able to break down some of those stigmas and barriers in the community! My role has also introduced me to so many amazing people and organizations in our community and I love being able to interact with them and add value when I can.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Greensburg for 2 years, but have worked in town for about 4. I currently serve the Greensburg community as well as surrounding areas.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
That’s a hard one… probably a coworker of mine who grew up in Greensburg and knows the community like the back of his hand. He always has interesting stories to share about the community and our growth over the years, and seems to know just about everyone in town!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Africa. Since I was little, I have always wanted to travel there to see the country and learn more about the different cultures. I am also a HUGE animal lover and would love to take a safari ride to see all the animals!

Movie: Harry Potter series TV Series: Game of Thrones

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’d probably get lunch with Elton John over some drinks and appetizers at Wings and Rings.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
That’s easy- the tree in the courthouse!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Career-wise, I hope to be in a field where I have the ability to make a difference and help people. Personally, I hope to have a small and growing family.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I can sing and play guitar. You will never catch me doing it though- I have terrible stage fright.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The Dominican Republic.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
July is my favorite month, and July 4th is my favorite holiday. Single best day on the calendar would probably be Thanksgiving Day- food and family… what could be better?

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
There are too many people to name, but one of them would definitely be my sister. She is very selfless, compassionate and patient with others and always pushes me to be the best version of myself.
